Boating Skills And Seamanship Course Now Law In New Jersey for Everyone!

"About Boating Safely," is furnished by The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

There is approximately 8 hours of classroom instruction, including the test, to qualify for the New Jersey State Boating Certificate.

NOTE: Since registration is limited, students are encouraged to sign up as early as possible. The About Boating Safely Course text books will be mailed to you prior to the scheduled school date time permitting. This course qualifies all students who successfully pass the exam to receive the State of New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate and also satisfies all requirements for the New Jersey State Personal Water Craft PWC regulations.

Upon successfully completing the boating class, a temporary certificate of completion for Motorboat/PWC operations will be awarded.
You must carry your certificate of completion with you when operating a motor vessel on the water's of New Jersey and within 12 miles of the coastline.
